Brunneoporus juniperinus is a species of fungus that grows on dead wood, particularly on juniper and cypress trees. In East and Central Texas, it has been found to fruit on standing dead trunks and branches of Eastern Red Cedar and other conifers, typically during the spring and fall months. The fungus produces small to medium-sized, semicircular to kidney-shaped brackets with a brown to reddish-brown upper surface and a pale yellow to cream-colored lower surface, featuring 2-4 pores per millimeter. Its spores are cylindrical to elliptical in shape, measuring 4-6 micrometers in length.
